Mallorca party 6- How to build houses in Mallorca?

The title is really posed as an issue and this little story will hopefully provide answers to this. In due time. Really in due course. The Spanish mentality is really a developing thing for my mind. Nothing goes fast and everything is tomorrow. Or next week. Or month. This is going to happen a bit early and I'm going back to the happy day we bought our land.

We had already contacted a local architect in Mancor at home. I immediately felt like this when he responded to emails and questions IMMEDIATELY, which has to be seen as a very odd feature of Spaniards. So we hired him just because of this to our project. No other merits were needed for me. We had drawn and knocked on our house at home on the computer and arrived at a modern "James Bond" house that I always wanted and that was a great contrast to what we previously lived. K marked and rude impractical (wonderful) house. Immediately after the meeting of the notary (see Mallorca party 5) we met with this mentioned Architect. My email feeling turned out to be correct and he was very fast and very childless like myself. Wonderfully. We spoke (or more not speaking) the same language. We showed our home building and he was in fire and flames and promised to put the house into his computer program until tomorrow when a new meeting was decided. Some changes were necessary as construction rules do not allow for a little roof angle mm mm. There are different rules for different municipalities in Mallorca and it feels very good to have a local architect.

When nature has to get decided

In the evening we went up to our wonderful plot and just sat there. heard get the bells and crickets and tried to imagine our whole cool James Bond house there. It did not work. We could not resist nature at this place and build this modern dream house in glass and copper (suck). We felt we had to adapt to nature and surroundings and build a traditional Mallorca house. The sms was sent to the wonderful architect who responded immediately despite the late evening. The project was changed and he did not need to put the James Bond house into his program, but we would return with the new house IMORGON. We went down to the city of Mancor. Sat at a serving and drew our new house on the napkins. We already had great knowledge of traditional Mallorca houses (see Mallorca party 1-4 .......) That came true now. We knew the proportions, windows and other things that fit. All house views came in unexpectedly for use. We designed the house with a traditional outside and a different more open inside.

The next morning we went to the architect with our napkin house and he drew it on the computer while I was watching. It was the most attentive wonderful architect I met (local mark this) he listened to what I wanted, he said what he thought and we discussed a solution. An absolutely fantastic fast and easy process. When we are done, I will leave his name to others.

2 days later all documents were submitted for building permits.

And here, the complete easy process completely ends. In order for you to understand it all, the 1 Building Acts were released September 2017 and we are now in July 2018 and we have not heard yet a single word. I was as TUR was aware of this from the beginning and knew they were going to take 1-1,5 years. It's just time to go soooo slowly. We ask where our actions are and the architect says they are in a pile of other actions. A big pile of other actions. He says I should not worry but just relax. AAAAAAndas. In out. Out in. My best thing is not just waiting for things.

However, a week ago, I received a sign of life. A new invoice and I have never been so fond of an invoice. The actions had gone to Palma for some kind of control.

I paid on the stump.

During the winter and spring I was incredibly stressed about this process. At the moment, however, I do not feel so stressed as I know I should "do". I do not actually feel stressed at all right now (hallelujah). Perhaps it is already the Spanish mentality that infected me. Or, it's our wonderful sheep house that makes me feel like I do not really need another house.

Mallorca party 5- Like coming home.

Disappointed and disillusioned with 2 bullies in 42 degree's heat that demanded ice cream NOW, we drove into Manacor. The city is located in the middle of Mallorca and is the second largest city but nobody knows where it is located. We dubbed our first best ice cream venue and therefore ended up on the outskirts of Manacor's center. No more planned items to watch and with Italy as the next target when we gave up Mallorca, we stopped outside a local broker's shop window. All the ads were Spanish and we went the most when we saw that there was a beauty sofa and air-conditioning.

To describe the middle of Mallorca, I have to say that to me it is the most beautiful part. The heart, the hub. Where life continues and nature is magically sweeping like a savannah. The first time I went to the north east, it felt like a group of giraffes could pop up behind any turn. I love the middle of Mallorca.

After a while wait with ice cream drop in the white leather sofa. various toilet visits and general frustration, a Spanish broker took care of us. None of us can speak more than Spanish. We pointed to the map in the area where we used to be and watched the pig-expensive object from Mallorca party 3 (when I was so close to being criminal) and the broker nodded on his head and said say say. We went for this named broker without actually knowing what we were looking at more than saying that. And there it was. After much uphill we had actually reached the neighbor mountain to the wet dream house. Just that this was on the mountain and not in a swell below the mountain. But there was no house. It was a plot - or a field of 4 hectares. As I left the car, I felt an incredible calm spread throughout the body. Each place breathed this place. Here I would be. My husband felt the same. We communicated this in some way to the broker. My husband is as I have already said a social nature gift and is so easily both loved and understood (opposites are drawn to each other saying that) and a somewhat English speaking colleague was obtained. We found out that there was no building permit on the plot but that we could be linked with a local architect who could help us with that. In any way, after all of its mishaps and misleading brokers, I gained confidence in these people. Maybe stomach feeling again. The land had no ocher price and the brokers had a common view of this if I say so. Their customers were local Mallorca living who would build houses simply.

As this was the last day in Mallorca for this time, we went home in the belief that this would be a simple quick deal. Never think if you are buying something on Mallorca.

Contact was taken with the architect who showed that having the wonderful ability to respond both day and night within 10 minutes to my questions. It turned out when we saw IRL that he was as much letter child as me and we found each other directly through cyber space. Building permits would not be a problem in the area but we had to expect it took time. Time was a problem for me only I had to spend my old age there on that mountain. So negotiations began with the seller.

That's when we after the so-shining glittering start we discovered again that we were still in Mallorca. The seller found out that there were EXTRANS that were interested in their land and increased immediately. Our wonderful broker thought this was freaky and we had an interesting communication for a couple of weeks while my stomach was in a state of dissolution and I swallowed between absolute luck and absolute accident for 3 weeks (I have no middle position). You know when you're so close to getting something you really want but not getting it. You just want to have it even more.

The seller turned out to be a 93-year-old, true, weathery old man who still harvested his almonds in the trees, refusing to go as far as Palma, for there he had only been once and there was nothing to sigh after. We finally agreed on a price between the old price and the foreigner's price.

The ground was ours !!! The old man refused to sign on a contract because he had never done anything and if he had said something, then it was. Both brokers and we were extremely frustrating but we were kindly paid down payment, booking travel etc. without having a piece of paper as proof of it all. Very exciting.

Time booked at NOTARIA (The place you go to make the real estate shop official. A place of books thick that bibles in a row by line. There is all the history of all houses in this case in the Manacor district)) and money was transferred to our newly opened account in Mallorca. The notary had to be in Manacor when the old man refused to go to Palma so attorney and interpreter would be transported to Mancor on the big day. What does not happen if you found his dream. All of this was planned without a signed contract.

The big day would soon be revealed and we found out that the guy refused to receive check. Cash would be. We sighed and explained that cash is NOT anymore but then the old man said that there would be no business. Money should look like money and no patch. The broker wiped her hair.

Banking in Mallorca was contacted and new knowledge was acquired. There was no problem getting this out for us huge sum in cash not. Just tell the day and we'll fix it. Yes, we said, thinking about how difficult it is to get more than a few 1000 pieces in our own card reign.

I love this old man. That privacy. But just then I was so frustrated that it froze from my ears.

With butterflies both in the stomach and the head flew down and the day before the big deal we went to the bank. Retrieved the sum in cash and went as criminals back to the car. I "slept" with the money under the pillow. Then it was finally time for the big day. Once upon a time with the lawyer and the interpreter, we went as if on needles if the little old man would appear or if there was something else important that had taken place this day. Mature peaches or so. But he came. Money was counted in one room and paper was written on another. Very carefully and accurately. We took a sigh of relief and the ground was ours. The broker was as happy as us.

On my way out, the old man came up and said in Spanish - it was funny this. Log as a sun he did and asked if he could keep harvesting his almonds on our soil. Absolutely, we said, probably he has tumbled off the ladder literally when we are so old that we have to start climbing in the trees.

In the evening we went up to the ground. Just sat. The whole stomach was calm.

Mallorca party 4-The time when I would be a nice little lady

After a long time, I feel the inspiration to write again. The sections can be read individually or sequentially.

Now I'll tell you about that time I tried to be a good wife. Please look like a warning example.

I'm going to where I finished Mallorca party 3. We had just finished the view of the house at the cicadas at the 600 m elevation in the Tramuntana Mountains. Wonderful beautiful but I can admit it was in the loneliest team. I also thought of heart attacks and other things that might happen to us at the age of autumn when we planned to settle there permanently. That we would only like the situation to die on the mountain. Getting down to the village or even worse at a hospital would be impossible. A little practical you have to be. Unfortunately.

The next destination was one of these exclusive villages along Majorca's western coast. It is wonderfully beautiful and enormously magnificent. I had found a house that was at our price level there (yes maybe a little over, but in some know when you bought something very very very much, you easily raise your head for the next purchase). At any rate in the price level we could buy it without selling the children.
I would already have thought of it.

Parentheses. On the way you can mention that we would look at another house. Looked really beautiful in the brochure. The location is beautiful and with amazing views. We went back and forth in the village and did not understand how we constantly missed the house which was excellent on the map. Very strange. Until we looked carefully at one of the houses that had the back all the way to the main road. Not a meter between road and house. Could it be? Neeej Then do they have to write something in the description? We slowed in and, of course, it was the house. I called the broker and said we did not need any view. Imagine the time that both brokers and customers are throwing away the brokers omitting such incredibly important information. This was also a Swedish broker. Different countries - different rules. I was angry and disappointed.

Finally our paradise ...

Back to the goal of this story.

The house was really amazing on the edge of the cliff without anything in front of the sea. The house itself was really ok and could be cleaned aesthetically. So I gave my husband authority to go all the way into the survey. The broker gave us the key and left us in the house all by ourselves. We have to look pretty cute as a family even though I wrote about Mallorca Part 2 was so close to getting into wrong circles.
The happiness was perfect and we could not understand how such a finding could be made.

The broker removed and my husband began to investigate the underground work. I thought it smelled a little strange in the house, but it's another country and so close to the sea it's clear that there's a little damp. My sad man immediately began to scratch on the beautiful color and judgment of my surprise when it trembled in great shock. At least touch in principle. When you started pushing the nice walls, they gave up as if they were cement. Murken cement. The floor tiles were loose with the exception of the joint set there to secure them after they were unloaded.

This is what is called a HAPPY HOUSE.

It is now the unbelievable thing happens. My husband is the construction engineer had become KÄÄÄRR. In the house then. He informed me that we would fix this. You support and straighten and dig and seal. Easy as pie. MY MAN the restrained cautious. Suddenly it happens. In any case, we understood why the house was not foolish like the other houses in the village. Should we be able to bargain we would almost afford.

I'm not a bad wife and you look at the pictures and you will forgive my stupidity. I went alive and lusted into the negotiation with the broker. The broker as at the costly and sacred conversation (Spanish broker) that there was no problem at all to fix the house. He even had his own construction company who could undertake the job so it was a trifle with the renovation. You get a little light blown in the head of house shops. Slightly the same problem I have with expensive shoes online. The figures are not real. Not as real as when the interest rate is due late. It is obvious that it is ok.

So I gave bids. Judging by my surprise when they accepted the bid without a crush. We were happy and went out for good dinner and bowl (note that this is still the same day). The peace of happiness was perfect.

A good night's sleep can often ruin the most colorful dreams. When I woke up in the morning, I had a big knot in my stomach. I could not do this. Something was crazy. You call it stomach feeling and you should not underestimate it. It is mentioned here that my husband apparently did not sleep as well but was still euphoric about our future house.
The day went by and the stomach became more and more determined. We did not look at any houses and the children were happy and happy. When the evening came, I was in the stomach. It was possible to complete this. I informed my husband who was still believing that he had made an important decision in the family to unfortunately not be the case. He may save it to another time in the future. The one who spared he tried to spit him up with ...

You can call yourself to the broker and say this says my evil man. He is otherwise usually much better on people in general and angry people in particular.

But I understood that sound was the best and I called the broker (I am now ashamed when I acknowledge this for you) and said we were backing. I usually never pull myself out and I do something, so I'm blamed for it, but I blame my husband in this case. It was still the man who leaned Eve paradise. The story only repeats (so between us I can say that I do not intend to be a little bit more wife more times but we can keep it a little bit secret). I did not tell anything about the stomach that talked and so on, but just waving us out. Angry broker (obviously. Although I like this in the rearview mirror, he fooled us pretty much. Almost) and disappointed. But the stomach was calm and nice and sometimes it's the main thing.

The man got kisses and promised new attempts. As well as not forgetting that he had his important decision, I could still use something else, I was happy.
I can regret now when he wants to buy a cabin on a mountain. Yes, nothing like that in a mountain and no "such" cabin, but a small box on the calf mountain without electricity and water where he can fish.

Mallorca part-3 Family holiday

After a long run of house purchase, we certainly learned everything about the Spanish house purchase system, which differs significantly from the Swedish (Mallorca party 1). As well as an attempt to trick me into the criminal world (Mallorca Part 2). So I had matured in my mind so much that I knew something as soon as we wanted. Roughly. New trip to Mallorca was planned. This time as a cozy family vacation with our 2 youngest children 7 and 10 years (the big ones are 18 and 22 years-same breed combination). Hotel with pool was booked and I immediately felt like a pretty good mom (for once). I also booked in passing through the view of Sisådar 5-6 house. Between the baths I thought.

Up in the air towards Mallorca. We live in southern Sweden so we fly from Kastrup, Copenhagen. It is my absolute favorite airport and I feel calm just i get there. I do not see many people in my daily life so I love to sit and watch people and guess where they are going and where they come from. I make small tales in the head of their lives and find it very relaxing. It's so cozy anonymously at airports I think. It's rare to encounter someone you know and I think that's nice. It would be crazy I can think if I sat outside COOP in Simrishamn and stared when I felt a little company's sleep. This time, however, this relaxed feeling was lost, which instead was exchanged for kisses and hungry and when we arrived. It is cozy with family vacation. I already felt a bit strung in my good mom rolling when I checked them a number of times before we even sat on the plane. Just getting through TAX Free is a chapter in itself. Here, however, I got mom mom score if you understand what I mean when the children got nuts instead of candy.

Once in Palma, I found out that I rented the smallest car and we had to hug the kids and bags in the car. My husband furthermore pissed off the rest of the journey in every uphill we snatched up because I hired such a bad (affordable I think it was wheel and 4 wheels) - SKITBIL, which he repeatedly expressed. He can rent a car himself in the future I think. And book flights. And check in. And bring your passport. and pack. and and
In any case, the car went ahead and before the pool bath I explained to those hot glassy children that we had to look at some houses. We wanted to HELA (kind of almost) the family would have to be with and choose a house and I almost believed in myself when I said it.

The first houses were on the eastern side. EVERYTHING on the eastern side, not in the lovely south east or magical north east. It became a whole new experience for me. I usually stay away from populous areas and have easy people fear. Markets, department stores and such places give me breathlessness (strangely, REA is the exception to this, where the adrenaline hits and I'm doing fine). I had the house without looking at the map from a broker side (you know they are honest and helpful). The house was certainly fine both in the picture AND in reality (halleluja) but turned out to be right over a giant hotel of 1000 room, which had its fans back and sounded like it had previously visited Kastrup HELA time. One could feel a weak breeze from those we thought the pool place even.
Otherwise, the east side was characterized by balloons, seat mattresses and other small and good which resulted in my hysterically screaming to my husband that I faint if he did not immediately drive our SKITBIL out of this pervasive for me holiday getto. All the impressions of such places make me quite dizzy in the usual cases, and in 35 degree's heat it was not better (and there was no outlet to aim which, as I said, usually relieves my publicity).
Now it did not happen better than the kids when we irradiated to find a way out of the misery saw the glimpse of a sea and began to shout and pretend to swim. Good mom on family vacation as i was told I was ok (100 at the mom pot) and we bowed ourselves down to the beach. Here the ski car turned out to be a real hit because it was very easy to park. After my 30 on the beach with even more balloons and umbrella, I got breathless and the kids were muted with ice cream if they came from there.

Now, at least, we had bathed and I could say with conscience that now we would just look at three small houses on the west side. So the kids got to see all of Mallorca !!

The journey went to Soller where the children were encouraged with a long exciting tunnel. Almost as a spade tunnel on tivoli-especially as the mother-hired mother hates the whole journey so we could possibly replace this year's Liseberg visit to this exciting journey. The kids were moderately fun, but at least 50 got new mom points. And they would be needed.

The house that was walking was at the 500 m elevation in the Tramuntana Mountains. Absolutely wonderful. Man went out of the village and then went and went and went on the serpentine roads 20 without seeing a single house. Here, I often heard more about the car's lack of quality, if you are feeling nicer than my husband did. I must actually agree with him that the car actually smelled quite odd especially on this route up the mountain. Halfway up the top was this wonderful house for me. The individual location was in the description and it may sound fine. Plus there to the brokers !!!

Up there was a magical view and the only thing that was heard was the crickets. Syrups of the kind I'm quite sure that they also belong to the fall of autumn when they had a fantastic capacity. Had it been a vacuum cleaner or a fan or the like, I would have woken sick of them but for some strange reason, I'll fix these sounds from nature.
I fell in love (ups) but my husband got the patch sickness. The kids wondered where the pool was. Up here, I did not have to build a pool, I explained, but took them crazy to the water cistern another 100 m up in the mountain and explained that we would change this to the pool. It would have worked if the broker just kept silent about what was in this watercress to keep it clean from mice and other little cute animals that fell in.
The downward journey (possibly even worse in the ... car) was most about Lock Ness beasts and other things. I was never allowed to fall completely for this house and I was not allowed to bid. Maybe not good to take the whole family in any case ...... They like to cuddle up, I might like.

The day continued and two houses left before it would be a swimming pool. I explained to the children that it's nice to have a night bath when it's really hot and the ski car had quite good air-conditioning if you'd say something to its defense.

Find your interior style PART-1 Get trendy, it's never been easier than now.

I often get questions about what's trendy and what's the "next trend". Questions that are quite inappropriate to ask me, I probably have to be considered as the most obtrusive. And yet so trendy. You assume, of course, that the previous sentence is a result of my poor language usage.
But not. The trend is just not to be so trendy (thank goodness). When I get the question, I usually answer floating and sulking because I do not have a real answer. This has led me to reflect on the issue and here comes my reflection.

Honestly, I'm not fond of trends anymore but want everything to be as it always has been. Look at this with style. Some time in 10's age, I obviously decided that olive green was my favorite color. I remember I had a pair of incredibly beautiful flannel lined pants from HM in just that color. Perhaps it's the wrong or merit of these pants that my life goes GREEN how I try to vary me. The pants were made both here and there and I remember using them until they stopped somewhere between my knees and ankles. The pants then disappeared in a mysterious way over me one night. I have since, when I became a mother, understand how this betrayal went to ... ..

To reconnect to the theme of TREND, it is so that if I go out to watch clothes, shoes, fabrics, wallpaper or even floors, it almost always ends with coming home with something green. Or greenish. If there is nothing in the store with this color (when trend settles that year, determined that just green is very untiring), I will not come home with anything at all or that I will go home with something undone as already The moment of purchase can see its future unused in powder in my wardrobe. I've always been easy to find what I like of what's on the market and maybe it makes me what they call trendsetters. Preferably green then. Maybe not more special is that.

How would I then associate this with interior design and trends in interior design?
The society's trend right now - and clothes and furnishings are just a reflection of what society is like - is finding yourself. You must be unique (but not for UNIK, we will be awkward). So take the opportunity to find yourself even in your interior. It is both economical and trendy. Like organic and a little raw at once.

Everyone has a "this is me". It can be clearly crystallized in 10's age or come crawling with rising age. But everyone has something you like. A style or expression that you feel is comfortable and where you usually end up with clothes. When it comes to clothes, many are what I understand pretty safe after talking with my few friends. Almost everyone has a high back in the wardrobe with clenched clothes - or unbelievably nice hanging never use, washed or stuck is an option. So we can stop being ashamed and give the pile to more charity purposes.

Why is it so much more difficult in interior decoration? In addition, the furnishings are so important and nothing can be thrown in the rear regions of the closet if it was wrong.
Important because it is the place on earth that is yours. Your resting place where you will feel safe and breathe out. The home becomes more important and more important the faster society we get around us and the more stressed we are.
Give yourself a home for YOU. Strunta in trends and us trend nissar. At the moment, it is also trendy to just be self. Look at all books and courses about "finding yourself" as it is actually the most difficult task we have. Can not googla or hit wikipedia.

How do you do to find yourself in interior decoration? One tip is actually just opening his wardrobe. Is it elegant and classic-go for elegant and classical in affiliations. Is that Boho. Go for Boho. Is the purple - go for purple. And when I say look in the wardrobe, I mean those 10 garments that you actually use regularly, not the ones hugged at the back, which is often a dream image of yourself. I do not know how many elegant clothes I have there.
The next tip is that directly you feel at home and calm in an environment. On picture or reality. Try to figure out WHAT is what makes you calm. Are there the colors. Space. Not the space. Or some furniture. Use your stressful phone to create an "This is my folder" with pictures and notebooks so you'll see that a theme will soon be discovered. A theme that is YOU.

Then bring the folder to a good shop (eg Style) and we will help you find you in just their products. Sustainable, economical and so incredibly trendy (praise God).

Mallorca party 2- Perhaps I would have been a follower.

If you remember the stated atmosphere from Part 1, this is where we find ourselves when we book weekend number 2 in Mallorca. New items would be looked at and new parts of Mallorca would be detected. Absolutely without enthusiasm on my part, but in my case, my husband was very determined that it was just Mallorca he wanted to be on.

So in May we started trip 2 and this time we had the most items on the eastern side of the island. An amazing part of mountain more in my dimension (not so hard to drive) and a landscape like Tanzania that I only expected a giraffe to pop up on the road. We started by looking at some items that convinced me that my fears about never finding my dream house were confirmed. Wonderful pictures and words from brokers but the truth was so far from the realm of real estate you can come. Stunning view could be in a pit and climbed on a nearby hill, if possible, you could have a little view. The discussion with my husband continued during the journey. Italy should be. I have said that last week, I have said, and a whole week in my world is eternity.

Lastly, we would look at an item that was beyond our budget. Just to see how it looks when it's out of budget .... That should be taken care of. Soooo clear I got up over my ears in love with this hugely beautiful finca. The farm was at the height of 200 m and the ground enclosed a mountain above the 400 m height. The view was really all over Mallorca. I saw myself walking up to the top and looking out over my possessions in a new well-trained slim body (this vision got after a walk across the field - not up to 400 m but maybe 300 mi 35 degrees heat a small reservation. these promenades that made me fit might be more appropriate).

After this view we went to the Mallorca party 1 house to see that we really would not spend more time and effort at that house and condemn my surprise when it was a GREAT way just outside the house. My husband claims it was there for the first time we watched and I have to admit it did not look particularly newly built. I had just avoided looking that way.

Now aware of this road, I persuaded my husband that we could certainly afford this high over our budget house. We would rent out, save and then interest rates were so low .... The love was great and I counted and counted. Do you know how to count when you fall in love? Not so good.
Full of argument I was and we bid. And that's when I realized I chose the wrong industry. We would probably buy the house but we would then bring a large portion of the purchase price into a plastic bag. Yes ha. Dear as I was, I called the bank and asked for my retirement savings. In a plastic bag. Not said nicke. It did not work.
My husband printed warning texts from the internet that you should NOT give cash money at a house shop in Spain. Not in any case. Not even if the house in question is on a mountain and is the most beautiful house on earth. It should be added that even this house lacked some amenities such as electricity and water. But is it just picturesque? Surely people want to rent such houses extra much? . And actually in the end, when the bank said no and my husband convinced me through calculations what happens if the interest rate is raised (sad him) I became most angry. Who I was most angry with, I do not want to go into this one, but I can say that there were scattered rags of anger.

During this time, the Mallorca party 2 was going on, I had carefully explained all possible careers where this kind of money fluctuates but none of them lay directly for me and I simply felt too old to change my course. As soon as I arrived, there was a drug addict that I thought could have nice bi effects on the fall of the autumn. I might also be able to cultivate the product on my mountain in Mallorca. Two flies on the bang so to speak.

Mallorca Part 1

We take it well from the beginning. From the first love in the island of Mallorca at the beginning of March 2017. I had never been to Mallorca and was a little skeptical of something that could be called "Mallis". We had friends who bought houses at this "Mallis" and I thought we could go there and peek to get all my preconceived sentences confirmed otherwise. I needed a few days away. Because I find it hard to be unemployed, we booked impressions of 5-6 houses during these two days we were going to holiday.

We landed at "Mallis" and picked up the rental car. And then we started going. And Mallis never gets Mallis for me. All I admire, I can not have a snake name for. Mallorca takes time and say and melt as in the mouth. Celebrities and traditions according to. Exactly as I understood Mallorca. I was enticed.

So many different natural habitats on such a small spot. From the amazing mountains to the west to savannah, similar landscapes in the middle and then mountains again in the East (now I did not see ALL this the first time we were there, so I did the events a little in advance, but what I saw was enough. I thought). And then the houses ... .. I became completely in love with the houses. And even in early March, the sun shines so that you can lapa energy in your frozen body. So we went alive and lusted in for house viewing. I had obviously done research carefully before we left but I did not understand how the brokers in Mallorca worked ...... Not really like in Sweden. In Spain, the same object can be represented by 5-6 brokers. All objects have sea views and huge potential. All. So it's about having the tongue right in the mouth and I did not of course. We looked at 3 items the first day. All with no sea view and lack of potential. Everyone was quite angry and the broker was not very interested in Swedes with limited budget and answered quite a bit about our questions when she realized we were not multi-millionaires.
Day two had about 5 views booked. First an old stone house, a finca. I was disturbed and when I fell in love, I can not stop myself. Of course, I offered bids on the stump and set the views on the other houses. Thought and everything. The broker showed nice drawings on how the item would be when it was renovated and clear. How the whole project was clear and planned. Only a few walls, water, sewers, electricity and other small petits were taken. But because there was a PROJECT, this would soon be resolved. So we bid and got the item. Fine. Went home to cold Sweden, I was sure I owned a stone house in Mallorca and the flight home for my part was of course going to decorate the house.

My careful husband (said to complement each other in a marriage ...) had read warning texts about house purchases in Spain and continued it after we got home and waited for the OPTION TO BUY contract. The contract where ALL will be written and checked and when this is written, you as a buyer can not pull you out without losing your deposit (about 10%). This option to buy contract was waiting for some time while I climbed the walls (and bought furniture adapted to the house. Just a parenthesis) and my husband read the warning texts. There is a clear statement that you should have a lawyer at everybody in Spain, and let an architect check both houses, owner relationships, and almost everything about the house before signing on an option to buy contract. Sad. But, my dear little wife, so I asked the broker to quickly fix a lawyer and architect so that we could finish this little project after the fine drawings ever. The lawyer only pays if the deal is locked and the thought struck me that it was a bit strange considering that it was precisely this one who would make sure everything was correct and correct. But as I said I was in love. The only one to pay BEFORE the deal is locked is the Architect and this person is consequently the only one you can think of faithfully.

We got a lawyer and architect and architect. Which one should rely on. Made his report.

Big tears and broken heart when we read this report. The house was no house without a barn. Fine, I said, I live in the barn no problem. But not. In a barn you can not live. You do not have to enter water, sewers, etc, and even in my in love state, it may not be that smart to buy straight away with 4 children and little family responsibilities.

So, can we do this PROJECT? We are writing an "Option to buy" contract with that paragraph that we can pull out if we can not make the barn a house. We pay the costs and we take the time it takes and awaits the decision. Sounds sunny and pretty nice in my ears. But not here we first meet the Majorcan economic mind team.
If it takes time to get the house to a house and not a barn (which in itself sellers always said it was). Then the price of the house could go up in the meantime. Then the seller loses money claiming them. Yes And we who pay for their barn to become a house and as in fact at this stage (some rounds and surveys later, we are now in May ......) is not even sure that it can be a house.

My wise man who is not particularly in love with or inferior or likes things is smashing and amazing and whose mood is quite stable takes us slowly but safely against Mallorca party 2. No deal is possible with the merchants and the ladder as a house can only be sold as a barn.

I slowly start looking at new ads but with little little enthusiasm. I will never never find a new house (please note i have spent a total of 48 hours in Mallorca and although I'm fast I have not been on the whole island ......)
We book a trip to end my unhappy love. I'm going there and crying I think.

Please wait before you complain about spelling mistakes and meaning building. I'm dyslexic and soon 50 is quite happy despite it. But I can not learn. My brain is an inferno and letters as well as right and left hovering as well as free. Everyone is good at different things and you are good at language. I know I'm sick of it.
